Heart of Texas unemployment rate declines in November
WACO, Texas – The Heart of Texas six-county regional unemployment rate edged down to 3.2% for November, a decrease of .4% from October. Job growth for our region continues to trend upward, with an additional 1,100 jobs added in the month of November. 804 unemployment claims were reported for the month.
The 3.2% regional unemployment rate for November consisted of 5,753 unemployed residents in the Heart of Texas area. This rate is below the state and national unemployment rate (3.5%), TWC’s TexasLMI.com reports.
