Child Care Services

Welcome to Child Care Services (CCS) for the Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas!

Child Care Services has three overarching goals. They are to:
(1) help parents pay for child care so that they may enter the workforce or complete their education/training,
(2) increase the professionalism of the early childhood workforce, and
(3) increase access to quality early learning programs designed to prepare children to succeed in school and beyond.

Applying for Child Care Assistance


Standard Child Care Application

Complete the Standard Child Care Application if you need child care and are looking for a job, working 25 hours a week, and/or enrolled in school or training. Parents who need child care in order to look for work are eligible for 90 days of child care. Make sure you choose one of the first two answer options in question six (6) of the application. Child Care will end if parent(s) do not meet the minimum activity requirement after three month of job searching.

*NEW* Service Industry Recovery (SIR) Child Care Application

To be eligible for SIR Child Care, you must be working in one of the following industries: arts, entertainment and recreationaccommodation and food services; or retail trade. Parents working in one of these service industries may be eligible for a full year of child care with no parent fee. Only one parent is required to work in the Service Industry Sector to qualify.  Common job titles within the qualifying service industries include: cashier, waiter/waitress, bartender, hotel desk clerk, ticket taker, usher, aerobics instructor, personal trainer, and more. Common examples of employers include: gas stations, clothing stores, supermarkets, restaurants, fast food, catering, hotels, movie theaters, and gyms.

All events, including virtual workshops, orientations, tax preparation and other in-person appointments, have been canceled.
