The Heart of Texas Workforce Development Board, Inc., dba Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas is a local nonprofit, governmental organization that governs the workforce development system for the Heart of Texas region and is responsible for the oversight, planning, and evaluation of workforce services.  Workforce Solutions is one of 28 local workforce development boards under the direction of the Texas Workforce Commission.  Our Board of Directors is comprised of members appointed by the chief elected officials – the county judges from each of the six counties and the Mayor of Waco and approved by the Governor of Texas.

We provide comprehensive services to Employers and Job Seekers in the Heart of Texas region.  We help employers find quality candidates by providing services that include: candidate referrals, customized job training programs, job listings, job fair assistance, labor market information, testing and assessment, outplacement services, and layoff aversion strategies.

We help job seekers find and retain employment by providing services that include job referrals, job application assistance, job readiness and job search workshops, career exploration, child care assistance, unemployment insurance information, and GED assistance.

We proudly serve the six-county region of Bosque, Falls, Freestone, Hill, Limestone, and McLennan.

Our workforce centers and administrative offices are closed Thursday, Feb. 18, due to inclement weather. All events, including virtual workshops, orientations, tax preparation and other in-person appointments, have been canceled.
