Visit veterans.jobs for a Military-to-Civilian job translator tool. This platform automatically provides a simple translation or "crosswalk" interface which allows service men and women transitioning into civilian life the opportunity to use their current Military Occupation Code (MOC) to find civilian jobs. Simply put, a veteran to selects their branch and MOC, and the site then automatically crosswalks that to civilian jobs requiring the same basic skill set.

Texas Veterans Portal

In a cooperative effort between TVC, TWC, DIR, TexVet, the Texas Veterans Land Board, the Governor’s Office, the House Veterans Affairs Committee, the Health and Human Services Commission, the Texas Veterans Portal (www.texas.gov/veterans ) was created to serve as a shared “front door” for Texas' veterans in terms of understanding and addressing their benefits, education, employment, and health questions and needs. This portal is a "one-stop shop" for Texas' veterans and provides/accomplishes the following:

• a quick and easy way to find jobs posted by employers who are specifically looking for and/or are required to hire veterans;
• a translation tool (via CareerOneStop) to help crosswalk military experience into civilian occupations (http://www.acinet.org/acinet/moc/)
• awareness to veterans of their priority of service entitlement;
• increased visibility for special features and services available to and for veterans; and
• educate veterans about veteran-specific services offered by the portal's participants.
