Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas, with the assistance of the Texas Workforce Commission, administers the Employee Development Fund program, which provides state funds to directly respond to the workforce needs of Heart of Texas employers. When a single business or consortium of businesses identifies training needs, an Employee Development grant can fund the creation and implementation of targeted training through a community college or other training provider.
Applying for Employee Development Funds:
Businesses and trade unions must partner with an eligible applicant in order to be considered for Employee Development Fund grants. Eligible applicants are public community or technical colleges, the Texas Engineering Extension Service or a community-based organization working in partnership with one of these institutions. For more detailed information, please see the Proposal Submission Guidelines.
Visit or call your local Workforce Center for further information on the Employee Development Fund.
