Texas School Ready Certification

What is Texas School Ready!™ Certification?
Texas School Ready!™ is a state-wide certification program that recognizes preschool education classrooms that successfully prepared their students for kindergarten. Texas School Ready!™ acknowledges preschool classrooms that have:

  • quality instructional practices in place known to get children ready for kindergarten AND
  • children’s achievement scores showing they were on track in the areas of reading and social skills when they went to kindergarten.

Licensed Child Care Centers who have achieved the Texas School Ready! Certification are eligible to receive a higher reimbursement rate from CCS for their commitment to exceed minimum standards and for providing the high quality care that young children deserve.
