Parents can make child care arrangements on their own with licensed providers, Group Day Homes, or Registered Family Homes not in the network, or with a relative of the child. This is called Self-Arranged Child Care. Family members that may be eligible as a Self-Arranged Provider include the child's grandparent, great grandparent, aunt/uncle, or sibling.
Self-Arranged Child Care Providers are not employed by Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas and are not eligible for any benefits. The child care arrangement is an agreement with the parent and the Self-Arranged Child Care Provider.
