How to Become a Contracted Provider
Requirement 1: Licensing and Registration
To have an agreement to provide child care services, a provider:
- Must have a current license or registration with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS), the United States Military Services, or the Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) as a child care center, licensed day care home, registered family home, or a youth camp
- Must not be on corrective or adverse action or corrective denial with these agencies
- Must have established a acceptable compliance history with these agencies
- May not be on "Applicant Status" with Child Care Licensing
Requirement 2: Following the Terms of your Provider Agreement
To have an agreement with Workforce Solutions Child Care Services, a child care provider must:
- Sign a provider agreement, which is also signed by a representative of Workforce Solutions
- Abide by the terms of the provider agreement
Requirement 3: Attend a Program Orientation
In addition to the agreement requirements, interested providers must schedule an individual appointment by calling a Child Care Services representative at (800) 772-2269 or (254) 296-5361.
