Workforce Solutions Playroom

The HOT Workforce Development Board has opened a children’s playroom within the McLennan County Workforce Solutions Center. Due to rising demands for child supervision while parents or guardians are utilizing the Workforce Solutions Center’s many benefits, the Board felt that it was time to provide such a necessary service. Individuals, who visit the center for orientations, job fairs, or even the more common career counselor meetings or use of center technology, will now have the added assistance of childcare.

Workforce Solutions for the Heart of Texas Child Care Services partnered with Smart Start Child Care Association to share in the supervision of the new playroom.

Room hours:
Monday through Friday
8:30 to 11:30am and 1:00 to 4:30pm

Children ages 3-10 are welcome to come and play for up to two hours while their parents or guardians participate in the Workforce Solutions Center’s services. The room will also have valuable information about other child care options within the area. Individuals who are already employed and have children may be eligible to receive a childcare subsidy just by entering the Center or attending training.
